Guarantee and safe use

The legal guarantee

Goods sold to consumers in Spain carry a legal guarantee of conformity of three years from delivery. If a tool does not match its description, or does not work as that kind of tool should, you are entitled to have it repaired or replaced, and failing that to a price reduction or a refund.

This is a legal right and it costs nothing. It sits alongside any manufacturer warranty rather than replacing it.

What it does not cover

• Normal wear – blades going blunt, batteries losing capacity with age
• Damage from dropping, misuse, or running a tool outside what it is rated for
• Consumable parts that are meant to be replaced

Batteries

Every battery loses capacity over its life; that is chemistry rather than a fault. Charge with the charger supplied, indoors, and do not leave a pack on charge unattended for days. Store somewhere dry and above freezing.

Using these tools safely

• Eye protection for anything that cuts, strims or sprays. Gloves for the saw and the pruner.
• Take the battery out before changing a blade, a nozzle or a line.
• The weed burner reaches several hundred degrees. Keep it away from fences, decking and dry grass, and never leave it face down.
• The pressure washer is not for spraying at people, animals, electrics or window seals.
• Read what came in the box. It is specific to the tool in a way this page cannot be.
